Our phones store all kinds of information. It's incredibly important that we keep that information safe and secure. Find out how and read over some tips and tricks to get the most out of your phone.
Start Simple: Learn how to use your phone. Turn it on and off, change the ringtone, volume, and set an alarm. Start with Settings. Go down the list and look at all of the options and changes you can make to customize your phone to you.
Passcode: Want to keep your phone safe and secure? Try adding a password. Check your settings and look for security or password to create a pattern or a PIN number. Make sure your PIN is something unique to you and not something easily guessed like "1234".
Voicemail: People need to reach you. If you cannot answer your phone, it is incredibly important to have your voicemail set up, and check it! Want to learn how to set up your voicemail? Check the links below.
Be aware: Be aware of your surroundings. Do not share personal or private information in a public location. Also, watch how loud you are on your phone, or how loud your speaker is on your phone. Make sure people around you aren't hearing your personal conversations.

As more of our lives moves digital, it is incredibly important to use your phone as a tool and not as a necessity. Know when to put your phone down and what rules apply in jobs, businesses, and more.
Ringtones: Make sure you turn your ringtone off and put your phone on silent or turned off while in appointments, interviews, or meetings. Loud ringtones interrupting conversation might happen, but it's always better to make sure it's not yours.
Speaking: Speak calmly and clearly when on the phone. Background noises are picked up easily and it can be difficult to pull voices from noises. Remember, you're talking to someone with a speaker to their ear, no need to yell!
Patience: We’re used to instant communication. Emails, text messages, and calls come all day everyday. It’s okay if someone doesn’t call right back or someone waits to reply to your text. Be patient and if it's a business or company, give it 24-28 hours before trying to call again.
