What is Covid-19? 

There are many types of human coronaviruses including some that commonly cause mild upper-respiratory tract illnesses. COVID-19 is a new disease, caused by a new coronavirus that has not previously been seen in humans. 

What are the Symptoms? 

Covid-19 can affect people in different ways. Some people may not show any symptoms, while others might have a severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus.
People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell

Masks 

On April 3, the CDC released recommendations regarding the use of cloth face coverings. They are not intended to replace hand washing or social distancing measures. 
Masks can reduce the amount of virus breathed out and may prevent you from touching your nose and mouth. 
It is intended to protect others from people who may be infected with the virus and able to spread it but not showing symptoms yet.

Homemade Masks are simple to make, and can be done without a sewing machine or extra materials.
